in Happiness, Love Your Life

Q: What do you LOVE to do?

Think about that for 20 seconds.

Seriously.

Grab a pen & a sticky note and write down the first 6 things that come to mind.

What do you LOVE to do?

  1. …………………………………………………………………….
  2. …………………………………………………………………….
  3. …………………………………………………………………….
  4. …………………………………………………………………….
  5. …………………………………………………………………….
  6. …………………………………………………………………….

For me, one of my FAVORITE things to do is to sing!

I love the way I feel when I sing.

See what I said there: feel

I get the best feeling in my all over my entire body when I sing.

Sometimes it’s chills, or goosebumps, other times my body feels so light – almost like I could fly.

The vibrations in my chest & the sound often send a buzzing through my chakras (especially my heart chakra) and it just feels so awesome.

It is true pleasure!

Now, I know you might be thinking:

“Great, but I don’t sing.”

But it’s NOT about singing.

It’s about what YOU love to do.

What do you LOVE to do?

I’ve realized recently is that this feeling happens because I’m becoming really present AND grounded at the same same time.

There are PLENTY more examples I could have used, for example:

  • lying on a hammock, under a tree on a beautiful day & listening to the birds singing or the way the leaves rustle in the wind
  • sitting at a quaint cafe, reading a delicious book of poetry, while being mindful & feeling the breeze on your skin
  • going for a walk & taking deep purposeful breaths and looking up at the sky and enjoying the view of the clouds (when last did you do that?)
  • listening to a guided meditation or a beautiful piece of music and falling asleep for a glorious nap
  • showing up at your favorite yoga or dance class and being present & mindful the whole time

So, I ask you again…

What do you LOVE to do?

And my challenge to you, is this:

  • Take your little list of 6 things and pick just one to do today, even if only for a few moments.
And see how you feel. What sensations are in your body. Do you feel lighter?
Do you feel less tension? Are you breathing better?

PS:  Let us help you with your accountability:  Write down what you’re going to do today here in the comments.

Declare it to us, and to the world, and then do it #GetGumption
